How is this calculated?
Drywall Sheets & Compound Math:
Sheet counts are computed from total wall and ceiling areas (minus window/door deductions). Finishing compound, tape, and screws are calculated using coverage constants.
Wall Area = 2 × (Length + Width) × Ceiling Height Ceiling Area = Length × Width Drywall Sheets = (Total Area - Deductions) / Sheet Area × 1.10 (Waste) Compound Buckets = Total Area / 100 sq ft per 4.5-gal bucket Drywall Screws = Total Area / 500 sq ft per 5 lb box

Important Construction Factors in California
1. Material Sourcing & Delivery
Major concrete ready-mix plants, lumber yards, and aggregate distribution depots are centered around Sacramento and other primary cities in California. Deliveries beyond a 20-30 mile radius from these urban centers will incur additional delivery fees and fuel surcharges.
2. Permits & Building Codes
Local municipal codes in California dictate minimum requirements for soil compaction, structural rebar, insulation R-values, and storm runoff drainage. Always check with your local municipal building department before purchasing materials or beginning excavation.
